These Terms and Conditions apply when you use the Scribble & Shine website or place an order with us. Please read them before ordering.

About us

Scribble & Shine operates as a sole trader business, trading as Scribble & Shine.

Scribble & Shine creates and sells children’s activity books and related products through this Shopify store. You can contact us at hello@scribbleandshine.co.uk.

This is our correspondence address, not a parcel returns address. Please email us for return instructions before sending a parcel.

Products

We take reasonable care to describe and display our products accurately. Colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished printed product. Product photographs shown before launch may be updated when final stock arrives.

Our activity books and dot markers are intended to be used with appropriate adult supervision. Please follow the information supplied with each product.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges are shown separately before payment. Payment is processed securely through the payment methods available at Shopify checkout.

Orders

After you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement. A contract is formed when we accept your order. We may decline or cancel an order if a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, delivery details are incomplete or an obvious pricing error has occurred. If payment has already been taken, we will refund the affected amount.

Delivery

We deliver within the United Kingdom. Standard UK Delivery costs £2.95 for orders under £29.99 and is free on orders of £29.99 or more. Please read our Shipping Policy for delivery arrangements.

Journal preorders

My Learning Journal — Essential Volume One is a physical, non-personalised preorder product. Journal orders will be delivered by the end of November 2026 and are not available for immediate dispatch.

If your order includes a journal and dot markers, both items will be dispatched together when the journal is ready, for delivery by the end of November 2026.

Dot-marker-only orders are fulfilled separately from journal preorders. We’ll email you when your order is dispatched.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

You may cancel a journal preorder before dispatch; starting production does not automatically remove statutory cancellation rights. Your applicable post-delivery cancellation rights remain intact. Our Returns & Refunds policy explains the 14-day cancellation period after delivery, the further 14 days to return goods, return postage, refunds and any lawful deductions for use beyond reasonable inspection.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, including where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

Intellectual property

The Scribble & Shine name, branding, illustrations, activity designs, text and website content belong to us or are used with permission. They may not be copied, reproduced, sold or used commercially without written permission.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.

Events outside our control

If circumstances beyond our reasonable control affect an order, we will contact affected customers and take reasonable steps to minimise disruption. This does not remove your statutory rights concerning delivery, cancellation or refunds, or automatically extend an agreed delivery deadline.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to our products, services or legal obligations. The terms in force when your order is accepted will apply to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from the mandatory protections and courts available where you live.
